Policy Statement
ODT Australis is committed to ensuring that all employees & contractors are safe from injury and risks to health whilst at work. This is the primary concern of the Managing Director and is prioritised above all other operational considerations.

ODT Australis is committed to achieving a position of excellence far beyond the legislative requirements in occupational health, safety and welfare issues affecting its work force.
Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR)
At ODT Australis we're very proud of our safety credentials. The adjacent graph plots a 12 month moving average of our recordable injuries (ranging from Medically Treated to Lost Time Injuries) per million work hours.
Our current TRIFR is 5.38 (NOV 2011)
In such a high pressure, high risk industry, we are extremely proud of the fact that not one person has been injured at work for over a year. This is further proof that at ODT Australis , we Live Safety:

HSEC Highlights
- March 2008:
TRIFR reaches zero (12 mma). No Recordable Injuries for over twelve months
- April 2007:
Awarded the Commercial Safety Award in partnership with BHP Billiton for excellence in Supply and Zero Harm
- October 2006 – February 2007:
Fleet upgrade to meet BHPB Fatal Risk Control Protocols. ODT Australis's operations continued unaffected as FRCP Compliance becomes mandatory
- April 2006 – January 2007:
Lost Time Injury free (over 100,000 man-hours)
- February 2007:
Environmental Protection Agency Accreditation ISO:14000 - Waste Management
- March 2002:
ODT Australis celebrates 1,000,000 hours LTI free
